Support the US Army SIMSS II Program
McLean, VA – December 10, 2004 - Metters
Industries, Inc. was awarded a contract to provide secure
information management systems services for the US Army's Secure
Information Management Systems and Support (SIMSS II) program. The
not to exceed $25 million contract is for a five year period.
Under the contract, Metters Industries will
provide a range of secure information support services, including
support for the US Army Program Executive Office, Enterprise
Information Systems (PEO EIS) Technology Applications Office (TAO)
located in Frederick, Maryland. This includes evaluation,
engineering design, document development, technology assessment,
analysis, quality assurance, configuration management, logistics
support, fabrication/integration, testing, installation,
implementation, training, operations, and maintenance.
The US Army Program Executive Office was
originally established in 1987. The name change to Program Executive
Office, Enterprise Information Systems resulted from the 26 October
2001 Army Reorganization. The office has acquisition responsibility
for over 50 systems and products. It is headquartered at Fort
Belvoir, Fairfax County, Virginia.
