Metters
Industries, Inc. receives formal ISO 9001:2000 registration for
the Orlando, Florida Manufacturing Facility

- November 26, 2002 - Metters Industries, Inc. has been assessed
and approved by National Quality Assurance, USA against the ISO
9001:2000 quality assurance management standard in accordance with
the International Standards Organization. The formal evaluation
was the result of over two years of effort by Metters Industries,
Inc. to continuously improve quality assurance management processes
at the Orlando, Florida manufacturing facility.
The evaluation
was conducted at Metters Orlando, Florida office, where Metters
Industries, Inc. designs and builds trainers and simulators for
government and private industry. The quality management system is
applicable to engineering development, design, manufacture, and
assembly of training and simulation systems, parts, and equipment.
Mr. Eric Kovacscis,
quality assurance department manager of the Metters Orlando site,
led the quality assurance management improvement process and coordinated
actions with department heads. This evaluation is a formal recognition
of Metters use of mature quality assurance management processes
and practices. The use of the ISO 9001:2000 standard has resulted
in significant cost savings and improved quality for customers.
The ISO 9001:2000
evaluation is a part of the Metters Industries quality improvement
program, which includes SEI CMM Maturity Level 3 external evaluation
received in August, 2003 at the Metters St. Louis, MO office. These
two capabilities allow Metters to provide high quality software
engineering and manufacturing support to all federal and commercial
customers, and teaming partners.
